Whakamaru offers a range of services to support the Te Whanganui-a-Tara/Wellington community.

Services include:
Crisis Recovery Cafe - "a community-based mental health crisis prevention and response service in a non-clinical, café-style environment"
Community practitioners - "social workers, counsellors, addiction support workers and financial mentors – all providing support across areas such as housing, income, health, education and whānau support"
Laundry, showers & wharepaku - "access to dignified options for showering, laundry and toilet facilities"
Social Supermarket - "provides food for people who need it, when they need it, in a manner that prioritises dignity and choice"
Long term transitional housing - "wrap-around support...to help our whānau reach a place where they are able to successfully transition to permanent housing"
Whakamaru also functions as a community hub, with Craig and Gail's "contribute-what-you-can" cafe, free bookable meeting rooms, the Chapel (a place of prayer, solace, and reflection for people of all faiths), and more.
